Fitness Trainer Discusses How She’s Using Video In Her Business

Deanne, founder and visionary of Liberation Spirit Wellness/Studio 13 Fitness Studio in New Orleans talks about her use of video on her website. Deanne’s share alot and we are thankful for her.

“I love using video on my site. It’s a teaching modality.  People are more visual. In the past 3 weeks I’ve gotten three calls from people searching Youtube for cycling and wellness.

What has attracted them to my services is the video. It’s been very helpful in answering the questions that they have. It also gives them an insight into the person their going to be working with.

I’m so excited about using video. It does the work for you before the client meets with you. The videos are wonderful. They’re on Youtube. They’re all over. People are looking for them and people are calling.”

Deanne has been using video on her site and in her OFFLINE business for the past year.  Remember, you don’t have to have an on-line business to use videos in the offline world.

The first thing most people do when they hear about you and your services or they want to find someone who has a service you want to provide is search in Google.

Ask yourself what you typically do when you’re looking for a new service provider. Do you seek references and what others are saying about the potential business on the web in Google or Yahoo.  Your clients are doing the same thing.

Video can enhance and literally quadruple your web presence in just a few easy steps. We can help.  Contact this New Orleans Web Site Designer and Marketer here and we’ll get started right away.

While working with client Deanne Depass Feaster of Studio 13 New Orleans, we had time to shoot a quick video about her experience working with me and how things are going with her website.

A big part of maintaining one’s website is continuing to add relevant content that your clients and prospects will find useful and relevant.  Each site I set up is ready to go with editing by you – the client.  There’s no need to call (although you are always welcome to :-) or learn html code or programming.  You are in the driver’s seat from the beginnig.

If you can update a Microsoft document, you have 98% of the skills you need to maintain your own website.  Deanne and I went over some of the basics during our visit.  Here she talks about the process.

Aishah Shahidah Simmons, Philadelphia based filmmaker talks about her experience with my design and web strategies for her business. Check out her new site we designed at http://www.NOTheRapeDocumentary.org

Here were her challenges and needs:

  1. Have access to website for frequently changes and updates
  2. Let folks know where films are screening
  3. Highlight video trailers of films and shorts
  4. Feature the voices of others in testimonials
  5. Allow potential schools and organization contact her without necessarily giving them complete access to her immediately.
  6. Qualify potential clients and their ability to screen her film and pay for her honorarium fees
  7. Have a clean, nice site that grows with her

Our solution to all of this was to create a WordPress Site/Blog hosted on her existing domain.

  1. She can now update her site whenever she needs to
  2. Add events and testimonials
  3. Received emails from potential contacts without them having direct access to her
  4. Add audio and video to her site
  5. Get great Search Engine Optimization and lots more traffic as a result
  6. Keep in contact with her supports and clients via a new mailing list we set up
  7. Highlight her work and accomplishments.
