Personal Trainer & Fitness Studio Site

Studio 13/Liberation Spirit Wellness wanted a site that would convey their srevices, let clients connect with the owner, Deanne Feaster, and highlight the services and products offered.

We videoed and documenting her conducting spinning classes as well as discussing the benefit of using a bike.

Deanne also got several of her clients to talk about their experience at Studio 13. Social proof is important when it comes to getting new business and making people feel comfortable with working with you and using your services.

Documentary Filmmaker Site

AfroLez® Productions, headed by Filmmaker Aishah Shahidah Simmons needed site to separate her company from her documentary film. Seems counterintuitive, but her film project, NO! The Rape Documentary, has such a life of its own as a international phenomenon, it warranted an entire site.

With the cost of hosting being so inexpensive, it made sense. On her company site, AfroLez Productions, Aishah can talk about her news and views that may not necessarily have anything to do with her current film project.

She is both gleeful and amazed at how easy it is to update her site periodically once we got her into Wordpress. Aishah is actually responsible for coining me as “The Cyber Abolitionist” . She sited that she felt Cyber-Emancipated. Her only problem now is keeping up with all the news she wants to share. At least her web designer is not the bottleneck .

New Orleans Web Site Design – Documentary Filmmaker Site

AfroLez Productions Magazine Blog Style Site

Filmmaker Aishah Shahidah Simmons’ second site, AfroLez Productions, came out great. She posts about issues, politics, and things she feel are important as a activist and documentary filmmaker.

The nice thing about having 2 sites is that you have 2 different domains working hard for you in the Search Engines. Instead of a couple of links, she now gets double duty just for having two sites with appropriate tags, categories, and keywords in her title pages.

Sure, it’s a little more work, but I think it’s definitely worth the effort and the cheapest for of 24/7 advertising you will ever find.

Once she got the hang of things, she was blogging away. Remember…you don’t have to “Blog” to have a Wordpress site or CMS system. It does, however, help quite a bit, keeping your site relevant and full of fresh content.

Author And Poet Site

Marie Bookman needed a site quickly. Her book was coming out and she had her first book signing coming up in New Orleans. Marie has written two lovely books of poetry that many people have not heard of.

Before getting her site online, her name was just a blip on the screen in Google. With the addition of Youtube videos and her growing site, she is now working on increasing her web presence the Cyber Abolitionist way.

We came up with something that was cost effective, clean, and personable. Her site is great for folks looking to really personalize themselves and capture their audience’s attention as speakers, coaches, consultants, etc.

New Orleans Web Design – Author Site

Musician Website

My personal website, Monica Dillon Music, was struggling. I wasn’t able to update it the way I wanted to.

Four years ago, I had a web designer. From the time my site was handed over to me, I had trouble maintaining it. I didn’t know the computer programming they used and I could never get it updated.

Fast forward a year ago, I found something better. It was a template based service specifically for musicians. The site allowed for streaming music and a clunky backend.

Result….I was again miserable in about 3 months. Something was wrong.

I started exploring Wordpress, ArticleLive, and a few other options. Afraid to start over, I bit the bullet and redeveloped my site. It was the best thing I ever did.

Today, my site is optimized for the keywords I need. I can update it whenever, from wherever, keep drafts of thoughts I want to write about, add video easily, podcast, supply an RSS feed…etc.
